Enterprise architecture for a European rail freight operator

IneosQ delivered solution architecture and technical leadership to one of Europe's largest private rail freight operators, engaged as a consulting service provider through a specialist intermediary.

The engagement covered a portfolio of enterprise applications on the OutSystems platform and the Java services around it: architecture decisions and architecture decision records, integration patterns across enterprise systems, identity and access design using OAuth2 and SSO, and delivery governance across teams of three to four developers per project. It included the modernisation of legacy monolithic systems into containerised microservices, Java EE to Spring Boot migration, and platform upgrades delivered without production downtime.

Bugaboo International — consumer products manufacturing, 2014–2017
Technical architect for an advanced planning solution, integrating supply chain planning systems with SAP and legacy ERP. Delivery of a master data management web application and service-oriented integrations across the enterprise landscape.
Earlier engagements
Enterprise Java and integration delivery in consulting and product organisations across manufacturing, public sector and travel — including ERP and planning system integration, e-government platforms, and identity and authentication implementations. Clients under those engagements are not named.

Where we work

Belgium and the Netherlands — hybrid, with two to three days per week on site. Greece — on site or remote. We work with brokers and intermediaries as well as directly with end clients.
